Situated just one block from Ipanema beach, the Everest Rio is close to the main commercial artery and the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. The hotel is among the older ones, but nevertheless is charming and has some wonderful views of the beach and Cristo Redentor or Corcovado.

It has two restaurants, a swimming pool, a cyber cafe and a fitness centre. The management supports a few environmental and social projects.

In the middle of the Ipanema district with very good nightlife and one block to the beach.

From the International Airport of Rio de Janeiro:

• The best option to reach the Everest Rio Hotel is taking the Linha Vermelha Freeway (Red Line) towards Copacabana.
• Follow the signs to Copacabana and keep on the freeway to cross Rebouças Tunnel.
• Then you have to drive around the lake past the tunnel (that's the Lagoa area).
• Do it clockwise and pay attention on the signs to Ipanema now. You have to turn left on Maria Quitéria Street.
• You will see a Restaurant on the corner, called "La Forneria". Go ahead on Maria Quitéria Street and turn the sixth right on Prudente de Moraes Street.
• The Everest Hotel is on the left as you turn the corner.
