The Bed & Breakfast Boat floats in one of the wider canals of Amsterdam in the eastern part of the town close to the Tropical Museum and the open air "Dapper" market. The colorful area, off the beaten tourist tracks, gives you a good insight of the 'real' life of Amsterdam. With many activities in the close neighbourhood it is a great place to stay with children. The city centre is 15 minutes away by bicycle (available for rent).

East Amsterdam is a colorful district consisting of diverse neighborhoods. The organic beer brewery 't Ij and Timor square with a cinema, restaurants and a children' playground are within 5 minutes walking distance from the Boat.

The multicultural 'Dapper' market and Oosterpark are surrounded by cafes and restaurants, both within 10 minutes walking distance of the B&B.

The city center is easily reachable by public transport or by bicycle (15 minutes).

From the Schiphol airport you can take a train to Central Station and then take a tram or bus.

From the Central Station take a bus number 43 and exit at the "Het Funen” stop. Continue straight for 200 meters and turn right and then left.

Or take a tram number 9 and change to tram number 14 along the route (change at "Plantage badlaan" stop). Exit at tram stop "Zeeburgerdijk". Walk towards the red buildings. Cross the bridge and turn right.

By car: Take exit number 114 (Zeeburg, Artis, Centrum) on the ring road around Amsterdam. Turn left at the traffic lights. After 500 meters, drive straight through the tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, turn left at the traffic lights. After 500 meters, you see two red buildings and a bridge in front of you. Turn left before the bridge and you are there.

Guests have a private entrance with code lock, room with a king-size bed, sitting area with fold out sofa, private bathroom with shower, kitchenette, TV and DVD player and a private lounge terrace. Books and board games are also available.

Bicycle rent is available on site (5 Euros per day).

Breakfast is put in the refrigerator. Many restaurants and cafes are nearby. There is a market and several supermarkets in the close neighbourhood if guests want to prepare their own meals.
