East Timor
East Timor is a country in Southeast Asia to the northwest of Australia at the eastern end of the Indonesian archipelago. East Timor includes the eastern half of Timor island, the Oecussi region, and the small islands of Jaco and Atauro. The capital of the country is Dili, and some other large cities include Balibo, Ermera, Lospalos, Manatuto and others. East Timor is known for its annual festivals, such as Carnival de Timor in mid-April or in May. Tourists in East Timor are not numerous that is why they are so expected by the locals. The nearby seas and the so-called Coral Triangle are home to the highest variety of coral and reef fish species. Ecotourism, bird-watching, diving, trekking, and visiting prehistoric sites are among the most popular kinds of tourist entertainment in East Timor.
