The Museum of Natural History, which is called "Field Museum", is so great that it occupies an entire block. It was founded in 1893 for the money donated by Marshall Field. The museum has exhibitions in zoology, geology, anthropology, and botany. The famous skeleton of a tyrannosaur, fossils of ancient animals and plants, the remains of ancestors of humans are only a tiny part of the countless treasures of the museum.

Chicago is the birth-place of the first skyscraper in the world. It introduced steel-skeleton constructions as a paragon for the buildings of tomorrow. Sears Tower skyscraper was once considered the tallest building in the world. It has 110 floors and the height of 442 meters. The world record so far is that the last populated floor here is located at the altitude of 436 meters. Sears Tower is recognized as the highest skescraper in the U.S., and the second in the world. Dizzying views on Lake Michigan open from the windows of the building, and Chicago itself seems to be a toy.

Shedd Aquarium is a marine museum, one of the oldest and largest in the world. Since its foundation in 1929, it has gathered here a collection of marine flora and fauna - rare, disappearing from the planet, and simply interesting species. Fish, including seahorses and sea dragons, the mysterious inhabitants of coral reefs, deep sea monsters - all this is the result of continuous work of professional biologists and amateur enthusiasts.
