The Big Buddha statue (Daibutsu) is the most famous landmark in Kamakura. The ancient town is surrounded on three sides by wooded mountains, which make its climate soft and welcoming. This is a perfect winter and summer resort. The water park Hakkeijima Sea Paradise introduces marine flora and fauna. In aquariums of the aqua museum one can see about 100,000 fish, polar bears, penguins, and other animals. Special shows are organized here with the participation of trained dolphins. The visitors can even feed the dolphins and make photos with them. The teritory of Hakkeijima Sea Paradise includes numerous shops and stalls where one can buy a souvenir of this wonderful park.
